Hello Lovey, sorry you had such an experience. It does happy to all of us, where clients, especially coming with complicated situation, would feel more pain after the treatment.
There is even a term for this phenomenon: its call healing crisis. you can read more about it here
        https://www.healthline.com/health/healing-crisis
Basically, sometimes, in a complicated situation, there is worsening of symptoms before it get better.
The way to avoid it is to treat less in the first session, then check the reaction of this client to the treatment. Then, in the next few treatments to go deeper into the muscles.
So, if you have in the future complicated situation, just do less in the first treatment, otherwise you could 'overwhelm the body'.
I think it was a good experience. Any other question? Please ask.

                                Hello Carola,
this is a good question. Generally, once you are qualify, you could give a massage while locally contraindicate the leg with thrombosis. However, you are now on an early stage on the course, and it will take time to build confidence. Hence, I suggest for now to avoid giving massage to this client. Ask her to come back later on the course.
                                Hope this helps.
                                Best Dror

Good to hear your question Liz. Knots will not disappear in one session! Its a bit of a myth...Its difficult to know exactly what happens to knots once massaging them. I believe is that its good to work on the knots, but don't aim to make them go away. Over a longer time, knots will reduce in size or intensity. This is not pure science. However, most people will report that they feel better (less pain, more movement) after working on their knots.
There is still a lot to think about....
