Hi Dror,
After answering the questions in the homework about pathologies over the months I wonder. Can we ever make a true assessment of someone if they are acute or chronic. I understand that we can ask questions to dig deeper, but at the end of the day the client could be misleading or just not into answering the severity of the question and lead us to believe they are "ok" and maybe they are feeling ok in the moment but lets say it is Angina and they are having pains but its not big pains and then it turns out to be fatal.
I get that after experience we will build our knowledge on this and what to do, but there will be a long grace period until then. So what do we do in the mean time.
Would it be a situation where we say, "at this moment because I'm not well informed of the pathology i will have to check and get back to you if we can do the massage?"

Exactly. How many times you hear stories who go to a doctor for second opinion? or one doctor is better in treating certain condition. So, the decision if to give massage or not, also relate to each therapist. And this also happens in medicine. If a client has complicated situation, the GP will not treat him/her but refer them to a specialist. The same in massage: the fact that you CAN treat someone, does not mean that you WANT or KNOW how to do it.
For now, the most important thing is to be good in getting information from the client. The will follow.
