Hi Dror, I hope you're well. I have a client - a work mate - coming tomorrow who is about 8 weeks pregnant. She hasn't yet told me herself but I've just found out through a mutual friend - I know she's told a few people at work, but I haven't seen her in person yet.
1) Is it ok to give her treatment at this stage in her pregnancy?
2) Should I ask questions that will lead her to inform me of her pregnancy in case she doesn't mention it?
3) If it is ok to go ahead with treatment, should I concentrate on the neck and shoulders and leave the lower back?
Many thanks!
Hello Chloe, good questions. Generally, pregnancy is not a total contraindication! yet, it depends on few common sense parameters.
First, generally about the pregnancy. Imagine this lady is try really really hard to get pregnant over few years with few miscarriage Not great right? Or she has few pregnancy and all works well. So, ask here some questions to establish her health and pregnancy history.
Also, about were we are in the course...we are at the beginning of the journey. So, rather that do a lot and take risk, avoid working on the lower back, hip and abdomen sounds like a good idea.
Hope that this makes sense. let us know how it went!
