Your main role for the day will be welcoming back Team Samaritans after they have completed their challenge and providing a free sports massage.

We will provide lunch and refreshments on the day along with a free branded cotton t-shirt to wear.

We have a limited number of massage tables so depending on how many therapists we have attending it would be useful if you had your own table. We can supply couch roll but would be grateful if you could bring any products you require.

I wanted to get in touch and share some information that may be of interest to you or your colleagues about volunteer opportunities available to qualified complementary therapists at Royal Trinity Hospice in Clapham. Royal Trinity Hospice are Britain’s oldest hospice and we provide skilled, compassionate care and support to people with progressive, life-limiting illnesses and those close to them in central and south west London.

Currently we’re seeking to recruit therapists qualified in massage, reflexology and aromatherapy who are available to volunteer between Monday to Friday. Barnet Carers Centre is a registered charity, established in 1996, that provides holistic support to all carers living or working within the Borough of Barnet.  Our Centre is based in North London , and caters to unpaid, family carers who provide medical and emotional support to loved ones. They support with a range of care needs, including terminal illness, long-term condition, disability, addiction, and more.Often, these carers are extremely socially isolated, frustrated, feel guilty about resenting their caring role, and are in desperate need of emotional support.

We provide services aimed at enhancing the health and wellbeing of adult carers (aged 18+),  in the area of fitness and complementary therapies, including Swedish Body Massage, Lymphatic Body Massage, Indian Head Massage, Aromathrapy and Reflexology.

We are currently recruiting graduate/ trainee volunteer therapists to provide the aforementioned therapies at our Centre, to provide this vital service whilst developing their practical experience.

I would appreciate if you could inform your students of this vacancy, and pass along the attached application forms needed for the role.

This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain the required experience to launch their therapy careers and to build on their confidence, whilst providing hugely impactful support to vulnerable memebrs of our society.
